African Youth Union Commission is noted for mobilizing and organising, the first ever African Youth Mainstreaming Roundtable (AYMR) on the Implementation of the African Union AfCFTA, E-Commerce,Trade and Security, Social Engagement and AU Agenda 2063 Architecture in partnership with AU-Department of Trade and Industry in Addis Abba(Ethiopia). This was organised in October 2018 in anticipation of the coming into force of the African Continental Free Trade Area(AfCFTA)slated to take off in July, 2020 with Ghana as host country.

In the light of the new “Africa we want”, the “African Continental Free Trade Area” agreement is definitely one of the frameworks that will go down as widely accepted by the African Youth, which has already been signed by over 43 African Heads of State.
